Heroes Season 3 Discussion | Page 3

It contradicts specifically the season 1 future before Hiro goes back in time and changes things. Not unbelievable, just wacky. In their typical baffling, anticlimactic way. In and of itself, it makes a certain kind of sense. But they really played it out in a comic fashion.

My mind must be fuzzy. I don't remember that time travel ruling out the possibility of her being immortal.

Not unbelievable, just wacky.

Can't argue with that.

In their typical baffling, anticlimactic way.

It's sci-fi. It's how EVERYTHING is resolved.

In and of itself, it makes a certain kind of sense. But they really played it out in a comic fashion.

I'd agree with that, more or less. I'd just extend it to ALL serialized fiction. Especially sci-fi. It CAN be done interestingly, though. And I, personally, think this has the promise of being interesting...assuming it's not already over...

The kid, though. THE KID.

What? It was the first person he'd ever cared for, and now they're dead. It pushed him over the edge. Remember, it was extreme emotional trauma that pushed our original exploding man to start going nuclear.

Also very convenient for keeping that terrible actress on the show.

I like her. But to each their own.

Oh, I haven't lost interest. I've decided Heroes is actually really a surreal comedy. But the show ceased being a serious show at about Episode 3 of season 2.
One thing I will concede is that it has gotten much better. Sylar is finally getting character development, Mohinder is finally paying the price for being an arrogant idiot, Hiro and Ando are getting much smarter, and the show is not moving at a glacial pace. But it's still absurd. Peter is still as dumb as a chocolate house in the summer. Evil Claire is not menacing in any sense of the word. Elle, the only good thing about Season 2, has disappeared.

Well, future Claire wasn't really evil, just cynical. Think Wolverine (because...there aren't enough comparisons already).

And, really, I think we all have our limit of how much we're willing to believe is possible, even in a fictional world. Once you pass that point, you start finding things funny (like how I find EVERY SINGLE Sci-Fi Original Movie to be a great comedy. Though...that's also partially because of the shitty acting, scripts, and general concepts).

The problem with season 2 was that it was shortened heavily because of the writer's strike. It really suffered because of that, and it's paying the price now.
