OSPREY, FL (CelebrityAccess) — The wife of Dickey Betts, founding member and guitarist for the Allman Brothers, was arrested on charges that she threatened a rowing team with a rifle.

According to the Bradenton Herald, 62-year Donna Betts is facing 18 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm after deputies investigated reports of a woman aiming a gun at a rowing teem of young adults and teens who were practicing on the water.

Betts allegedly leveled a rifle at the team and threatened to shoot them if they ventured onto her property. She then threw the rifle into the water, but it was later recovered by police, the Herald said.

Betts was later arrested and is being held without bond. – Staff Writers
