Who said scary movies had to be released in October? Absolutely no one!
This August, Isabelle Fuhrman will return to play the twisted orphan, Esther in Orphan: First Kill.
At 12 years old, Fuhrman took on the role for the hit 2009 horror film Orphan. In the film, Esther is adopted by the Coleman family. Once Esther [Fuhrman] joins the family, she begins to display erratic and scary behavior that has viewers believing there is more to her than they know.
In the movie, Esther’s adopted mother notices the strange behavior and tries to warn others. In a shocking twist, viewers find out Esther is not a young girl but a 33-year-old with a disorder that makes her look like a child. At the end of the movie, Esther ends up being killed by her adopted family.
So, where does this leave the Orphan: First Kill? Well, Fuhrman, now 25 years old, will portray Esther before the Coleman family. The new film will show how it all began with the killings of her first family. Esther’s real name is Leena, and in the trailer, we see her first impersonating Esther Mauerova. In Orphan: First Kill, Esther is the missing daughter of the couple Katie [Julia Stiles] and Richard [Rossif Sutherland].
Again, we will see Esther cause mayhem in her own sinister way. Fans will be able to see what happens unfolds with her first family when it is released in theaters on August 19th and streaming on Paramount+.
