He’s often said that he won’t be leaving his children any of his money, as he feels that they need to make their own way, instead of living off his coattails. He tries to keep them from experiencing too much luxury.
Each of the Ramsay children receive 50 British Pounds a week to pay for their cell phones and bus fare. If they want anything, they need to save up for it. They don’t even dine at any of their Dad’s famous, fancy restaurants.
Making Their Own Way
While Ramsay has taught all of his kids, save baby Oscar, how to cook, he’s done it so that they’ll have the life skill, and not because he wants them to be chefs. However, his youngest daughter has taken a page out of his book.
Matilda, known as Tilly to most, has dreams of being a chef. She has competed on MasterChef Junior, has had her own show, and even written her own book. It looks like she won’t be changing her mind anytime soon, and that’s ok with her proud Papa.
Ramsay’s oldest son, Jack, has joined the marines. So not only does he not expect to live in the lap of luxury forever, he has taken quite the opposite road. When he was younger he had wanted to become an officer in the British Armed Forces. At some point in the past couple of years he decided to join the Royal Marines as an infantryman.
Firstborn, Megan, is an Instagram influencer, with over 205,000 followers. But, that’s not her lifelong career. She recently graduated from college with a degree in Psychology. No word on what she plans to do now that she’s finished school and part of the ‘real world’ our parents always talked about.
Jack’s twin sister Holly is also making her own way as a professional runway and print model and Instagram influencer.
No word on what youngest child Oscar is doing with his life. It looks like he’s not contributing much. Slacker. Sure, he just turned one, and he’s busy learning life skills. This kid has it made, not only is Gordon Ramsay his Dad, so he’ll have the best baby food and recess snacks, but he also has four older siblings who tend to dote on him constantly.
Giving Back
The entire Ramsay family are also involved with various charity works, and ways to help others. Gordon and his wife Tana started a foundation after losing one of their sons before he was born. Three of the Ramsay children have run marathons, raising money, in his honor.
Ramsay has also used his various shows to help people in various situations, always remembering that he wasn’t born with a silver spoon. His most recent challenge was to help an entire town that was devastated twice by flooding. Soon after he finished helping rebuild the town, it went into lockdown, like the rest of the globe, but he vows to help the town with tourism and consumerism.
